Integration into Django-CMS

The integration into the CMS is realized through a plugin.

Forthcoming in the back-end

Once the Forthcoming app has been installed, an entry is available in the Django administration interface.

Press Add to add a new forthcoming title.

All the fields are obligatory. In most cases, the publication is nearly finished so that all the data required is at hand. The Series field is a menu showing the available Series. Press Save to finish the data entry.

The overview will now show the added entry.

Forthcoming plugin

On the front-end, select a page that should contain the list of forthcoming titles. This will most likely be the main page. Go into Edit mode (icon top right) and click on the icon to the right of it to toggle the structure mode:

Select EOA forthcoming list and acknowledge the next dialogue window: There are no further settings to be made.

Now, a list was added to the page structure that can accomodate the titles that were created in the back-end. In order to add them, go back to the structure editor on the right.

Click on the + in the row of EOA forthcoming list to add another plugin.

Only one plugin type can be selected, a forthcoming title:

Select the title we added in the back-end and press save:

In principle, new titles can also be added through these menus.

Removing a title

By using the structure mode or in the back-end, you can delete titles once they have been published. The whole list can be deleted, as well.
