Layout of a publication project

The layout of a publication has to follow specific rules so that the conversion workflow finds all the items at their proper place.

In general, all file and directory names must not contain spaces, parentheses or umlauts. There must be only one “.” in the filename, the one that separates the filename from the extension (e.g. “jpg”, “tex”, “xml”). Allowed characters are a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _ and -.

Components of a publication

Create a directory which will contain all the components of a publication.

Inside that directory, create the following directories:

• facsim

• images

• inline

• preambel

• texfiles

Also, on this level, some more files are necessary:

• EOATeX workflow

  • main tex file

  • cover image

  • publication config

• XML workflow

  • xml file containing the whole publication

  • cover image
